HA Quan’an: From Heterogeneous Diversity to a Community of Shared Future:Geographical Plate and Historical Trend of Asian Civilizations
April 1, 2022

Abstract

Asia consists of three continents:East Asia,South Asia and West Asia. The ethnic composition of Asia has an obvious diversity, and the pattern of civilization is a three-pronged situation. In terms of ideology,East Asian civilization has long maintained secular traditions, and imperial power worship seems the concentrated embodiment of popular religion;South Asia,as it were,is a fertile land for polytheistic beliefs, while the theological concept of monotheistic beliefs has been inherited in the vast land of West Asia.In terms of political form,East Asia and West Asia have long had a historical tradition of empire, while the political structure of South Asia has been in a state of disintegration for a long time.Central Asia is located in the hinterland of the Asian continent, which constitutes the eastward extension of the West Asian civilization;Southeast Asia has the dual elements of East Asian civilization and South Asian civilization, which can be described as the secondary sector of Asian civilizations.Since modern times, the Asian continent was obviously behind the times, and fell victim to western colonialism in the nineteenth century.Into the twentieth century,Asian countries have got rid of the domination of Western powers successively, and enter a new historical stage of modernization.
